Derrick's biography
Derrick lost both his parents at an early age and lived in foster care with his sister Janice for most of his youth. A studious and intellectual pupil
he made his way to university gaining degrees in economics, accountancy and IT.
For years Derrick was besotted with Juliette Keller and eventually they married in 2007. The marriage was not a success and Derrick quickly
regretted it, discovering the fantasy Juliette he had built up in his mind was not matched by the real thing. They separated in 2010 and Derrick
moved out, staying intermittently with his sister Janice and her family.
At the end of 2010 he met Melissa Hamilton-Lock and began a new relationship with her. The pair discovered that they were very well matched and
have grown closer and stronger as time goes on.
Derrick is head of the finance department with the local council and admits to quite enjoying his work – probably the only person in his department
who does!
