Madelyn's biography
Madelyn, known usually as Maddy is the fourth child of Duncan and Angelina. Always a very active child, she gained a reputation for being something of a tomboy, preferring to
climb trees and play football with her brothers than play dolls with her sisters. This aside she developed a close relationship with younger sister Andriah, who she always
viewed as ‘delicate’. Maddy fiercely protected her throughout their school days at the private school for girls, Kinroy Glen Academy, where she gained a reputation for being a
rough bird!
Always very sporty, when she left school she took several courses training her to coach various sports and outdoor activities.
She met Roscoe while working as a fitness trainer in Dundee. They were instantly attracted and had everything in common with their great love of sports. They travelled to
Canada together in 1999 and had a working holiday as ski instructors.
On their return Maddy became an instructor in an outdoor centre near Dunochart. Although enjoying the work, she hated the management and felt that they weren’t using the
natural resources to their full potential.
She married Roscoe in 2002 in a lavish joint celebration with her sister Andriah.
Initially she didn’t plan to have any children, enjoying her sporty life just as it was, but caused a national sensation in 2006 when she gave birth to twins, Ailish and Brielle. One
of only a handful of twins in the world to be born with different skin colours, Ailish being white like her mother and Brielle, black like her father.
Maddy still works but also spends a lot of her time running about after her ‘crazy’ girls and teaching them every sport possible!
