Pearce's biography
Pearce is the second son of Duncan and Angelina. Never blessed with the intellectual abilities and the natural charm of his brother, he lived somewhat in his shadow for many
years.
Struggling through school he left with only a handful of qualifications and didn’t go on to further education. He had a string of unsuccessful ventures into various jobs and
businesses but couldn’t stick at anything, leading to a rift developing between him and his father who insisted it must be through his own laziness that he couldn’t keep a job.
He also developed a reputation for being something of a playboy and had a string of short lived relationships that caused a lot of unwelcome gossip for his mother to deal with.
In 2003 he married XiaLin, his latest sweetheart. As the daughter of the owner of the local Chinese takeaway, both Pearce’s parents had their doubts about her suitability.
Pearce felt his parents were being snobbish and bigoted. Despite putting on a brave face for the wedding, a further rift developed.
Angelina however smoothed over the relationship and the family were quickly back on speaking terms, though Pearce still thinks he and his family are treated differently to his
siblings.
This feeling still lingers and Pearce struggles to find a job that suits him. Despite his parents subsidising most of his life, he still feels that everything is done grudgingly and
that he doesn’t receive the same cosseting as his brother and sisters.
He has two sons with XiaLin; Carson and Macaulay. They live in a cottage bought for them by Duncan in the small village of Culmuckety near Dunochart. Here Pearce works
seasonally as a game keeper on one of the large estates but he hates it and is hoping to find something else.
He enjoys going to the gym, swimming, shooting and going on long walks with his boys.
