Sean's biography
Sean was born to be a golfer. Growing up in county Cork, his father always pushed him in that direction. In the early nineties he succeeded in making
it onto the European tour and looked like a fresh new talent. His progress was hampered in 1994 by a wrist injury and he never fully recovered. His
game suffered from that moment on and he struggled continually, mostly with his putting.
By 1999 he had slipped off the rankings and lost his tour card. These were his darkest days and he wasn’t sure if he’d recover mentally but thanks
to his long term sweetheart, Vanessa, he pulled through. In 2001 they married, though he was still jobless. Soon after however he secured the post
of resident professional at the Dunochart Golf Club. This suited him perfectly and they made their permanent home in the town.
Sean has three daughters with Vanessa; Molly, Freya and Zoe.
Like his father in law, Sean has a big interest in cars though he prefers classics rather than sporty numbers!
